Three-Dimensional Structure from Single Two-Dimensional Diffraction Intensity Measurement

چکیده
Conventional three-dimensional (3D) imaging methods require multiple measurements of the sample in different orientation or scanning. When is probed with coherent waves, a single two-dimensional (2D) intensity measurement sufficient as it contains all information 3D distribution. We show method that allows reconstruction distribution from 2D measurement, at z-resolution exceeding classical limit. The can be practical for radiation-sensitive materials, where experimental setup only one measurement.

Three-Dimensional Object Recognition from Single Two-Dimensional Images
A computer vision system has been implemented that can recognize three-dimensional objects from unknown viewpoints in single grayscale images. Unlike most other approaches, the recognition is accomplished without any attempt to reconstruct depth information bottom-up from the visual input. Instead, three other mechanisms are used that can bridge the gap between the two-dimensional image and kno...
متن کاملTwo-dimensional constraints on three-dimensional structure from motion tasks
Can humans recover metric structure from motion sequences or, as has been claimed by Todd and Bressan [(1990) Perception & Psychophysics, 48, 419-430], are they limited to recovering only relief structure? Two experiments were carried out to investigate this question. In a metric-structure task, the angular thresholds for discriminating two rotating bi-planar structures were approximately 91 de...

متن کاملThree Dimensional Diffraction Imaging
Microscopy has incited many of the greatest revolutions in scientific history. In particular, these inventions have sparked paradigm shifts in biology, and discoveries like the structure of DNA are indebted to such studies. The development of the field spans from recent work like scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy to the original optical microscope, which dates back hundre...
متن کاملThree Dimensional Symmetry from Two Dimensional Data
In previous applications, bilateral symmetry of objects was used either as a descriptive feature in domains such as recognition and grasping, or as a way to reduce the complexity of structure from motion. In this paper we propose a novel application, using the symmetry property to \symmetrize" data before and after reconstruction. We rst show how to compute the closest symmetric 2D and 3D conng...
